“Mediazona” reports the detention of dozens of Israelis in Domodedovo: “The enemies of Iran are the enemies of Russia”

As Mediazona reports, citing an informed source, at least 40 Israeli citizens were detained and interrogated by security forces on April 19 at Domodedovo airport after arriving from Tel Aviv. Some of the detainees also have Russian citizenship.

According to the publication, they were kept for about five hours without water, food or the opportunity to go to the toilet. At the same time, representatives of the Russian authorities behaved rudely and demanded to unlock the phones, but after receiving a refusal they limited themselves to demanding that the equipment be turned off.

Some of those interrogated were accused of war with Iran, saying that this country is a Russian ally, and their enemies are also enemies of Russia. The security forces reported that the Israelis were not welcome to arrive in Moscow, and that they had come in vain.

About five hours after the arrest, the Israelis began to be released after signing papers with warnings – presumably, we are talking about a document that informs about the “inadmissibility of violating the law.” Mediazona’s interlocutor noted that when handing over the papers, the security forces began to behave “very politely and carefully.”
