Trump: Iran can’t figure out who their leader is

US President Donald Trump, in a publication in Truth Social, said that the Iranian leadership is gripped by an internal struggle and “cannot decide who their leader is.”

According to Trump, the confrontation between “radicals” who are “losing miserably on the battlefield” and “moderates who are not so moderate but are gaining authority” has become chaotic. The president also stressed that the Strait of Hormuz is “tightly closed” and no ship will be able to pass through it without permission from the US Navy until Tehran is ready for a deal.

Trump’s statement was published after the New York Times, citing its sources, wrote that real power in Iran had passed to a group of IRGC generals, and the new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, seriously wounded in the February 28 strike, practically does not appear in public and is unable to speak fully due to burns.
