Iran’s leader must put on prosthetics and undergo plastic surgery

According to reports from sources to the newspaper The New York Timeshe is surrounded by a team of doctors, including President Masoud Pezeshkian, who is a heart surgeon, and has already faced at least three surgeries on one of his legs. Despite being mentally lucid and active, according to four senior Iranian officials, he is awaiting further surgery to install a prosthesis and must undergo plastic surgery due to deep injuries from the American and Israeli attacks.

Khamenei underwent a procedure on one of his hands and is slowly recovering function. His face and lips suffered serious burns, which made it difficult for him to speak.

The health status of the current supreme leader has been the subject of questions since the beginning of the war.
