According to the company, the goal is to enable a more continuous user experience, where central settings, such as password, two-step verification and email address, are managed from one place and do not require updating in each individual application.

One of the main innovations is the possibility of using one password for all accounts, alongside a gradual transition to the use of Passkey technology. This is a method that allows entry using a fingerprint, facial recognition or the device code, without the need to type a password. According to Meta, this is a significant improvement in the level of security, especially in view of the increase in phishing attacks and hacking attempts.

Meanwhile, the new system will also provide personalized recommendations to improve security, including the activation of two-step verification and alerts on unusual login attempts. Users will be able to see suspicious activity from all devices in one place, and act quickly in case of risk.

Along with the simplicity, Meta emphasizes that the use of the system does not require a full consolidation of all accounts. Those who wish will be able to continue to separate different services, add or remove accounts from the system at any stage, and maintain a personalized level of privacy. For example, specific settings for each application, such as who can see posts on Facebook or tag on Instagram, will remain within the applications themselves.

Another aspect of the update concerns parents. Using the Family Center control panel, it will be possible to manage supervision of youth accounts on all platforms from one place, without the need to switch between different applications. This is a change that may make it easier for parents, especially when the use of teenagers is spread over several networks at the same time.

At the same time, Meta is expanding the use of its business assistant, Meta AI intended for advertisers. The tool integrates directly into the advertising platforms and allows you to get insights in real time, ask questions in a free language and get solutions to technical problems. According to the company’s data, businesses that used it were able to improve the performance of campaigns, with a decrease of about 12% in cost per result and an increase of about 20% in solving account problems.

The new system will be gradually rolled out worldwide over the coming year, and will be a key part of Meta’s attempt to unify its ecosystem, and make it simpler to manage.
