La Jornada: There will be a notable presence of Mexican authors at the 50th Filba

The 50th edition of the Buenos Aires International Book Fair (Filba) 2026 will feature the participation of Mexican writers Sofía Romero, Pedro Serrano, Carlos López Beltrán, David Toscana and Daniel Saldaña París.

In a statement it was reported that the authors will carry out various activities at the editorial meeting, which takes place from this Thursday until May 11 in the Argentine capital.

The writers Pedro Serrano (April 25) and Carlos López Beltrán (26) will participate in the 19th International Poetry Festival.

With the comments of Mariana Serrano and Jorge Fonderbrider, Pedro Serrano will present his collection of poems on the 29th craters, that explores themes such as memory and emptiness, based on the symbolization of a crater in the Mexican landscape.

On May 1st, narrator David Toscana will present his novel The blind army awarded the most recent Alfaguara Prize. The narrative, according to its author, explores human dignity even in tragedy. It is a symbolic reading about war, power and resistance, he explained in a conference.

The narrator and essayist Daniel Saldaña París will talk about his first novel, my father’s names (Anagram), May 3. In the title, it addresses in a way that resembles the police investigation the signs that a distant father figure left in the protagonist.

On May 7, the writer Sofía Romero will present her graphic novel The data adventures, around the universe of technology.
