The government of Pakistan posted on social media X that Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi.
According to this publication, the meeting is also attended by Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir. The parties are “discussing the regional situation.”
Earlier, Araqchi met in Islamabad with the Chief of Staff of the Pakistani Army Asim Munir.
According to a report from Iran, Araqchi conveyed to him Tehran’s official response to the Pakistani proposal formulated within the framework of negotiations with the United States.
