The FBI, after receiving a court warrant, began searching the home in Torrance, California, where 31-year-old Cole Thomas Allen lived, who opened fire during an event in Washington attended by US President Donald Trump.
Earlier, the White House reported that shortly before the attack, Allen’s brother contacted the police and said that he had sent his relatives a manifesto, which stated his desire to commit an assassination attempt on members of the American administration. Trump himself, in an interview with Fox News, called the shooter “a man with big problems.”
It is also known that Cole published anti-presidential and anti-Christian posts on social networks. His sister Avriana told investigators he made increasingly radical statements about the need to “do something to change the world.”
US Attorney General Todd Blanche, quoted by Fox News, noted: law enforcement agencies believe that he arrived in Washington from Los Angeles by train – through Chicago. He said the exact motive has not yet been determined and more information will be provided after charges are filed.
