Vietjet pays 30% dividend, attracting international investment

The information was stated at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders held on April 26 in Ho Chi Minh City. In 2025, the airline will operate 135 aircraft, including 101 aircraft in Vietnam, operate 254 routes, serve 28.2 million passengers with more than 153,000 flights.

Consolidated revenue reached 82,093 billion VND, profit after tax was 2,123 billion VND, an increase of more than 51% compared to the previous year and exceeding about 20% of the plan. Enterprises also contributed directly and indirectly more than 10,500 billion VND to the budget.

Vietjet continues to expand its fleet with an order for 100 A321neo ships and 50 additional purchase options from Airbus, along with 20 A330neo wide-body ships. Accordingly, Vietjet is among the group of airlines with large orders in the world.

In 2026, the airline aims to expand its international flight network, targeting European and American markets, and invest in a new fleet of aircraft including A321neo, A330neo and Boeing 737-8. The company promotes cooperation with partners such as Rolls-Royce, CFM International and Pratt & Whitney. Vietjet also aims to pioneer with the Vietnam International Finance Center in Ho Chi Minh City to establish the International Aviation Finance Center.

According to Mr. Philipp Rösler, independent member of the Board of Directors, Former Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Germany Philipp Rosler, said the expansion plan to Europe had been prepared in advance. The low-cost model combined with basic services helps the airline maintain a competitive advantage on long-haul routes.

In addition to expanding operations, Vietjet invested in an aircraft maintenance center in Long Thanh and deployed self-service ground services in Noi Bai and Tan Son Nhat to optimize costs. Vietjet Aviation Academy also expands training with more than 162,000 students in 2025, an increase of 30% compared to the previous year. In addition, the company promotes ancillary services and cooperates with financial and technological partners to diversify revenue sources.

At the meeting, shareholders approved a 30% stock dividend plan and elected two new experienced board members. Vietjet continues to commit to maintaining growth associated with financial discipline and sustainable development orientation.

In addition to business results, the airline received a number of awards such as Top 10 safest low-cost airlines 2025 and Global Sustainability Award 2025 awarded by AirlineRatings. Vietjet is also in the Top 50 best listed companies in Vietnam voted by Forbes Vietnam.
