British King Charles III and his wife Queen Camilla, who are on a four-day visit to the United States, visited the White House and met with President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump.
Relations between the two countries are in deep crisis due to British Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s refusal to provide US assistance in the war with Iran, which led to sharp criticism from Trump. The king’s trip to Washington is intended to smooth out the contradictions.
The American leader demonstrates in every possible way his predisposition towards the royal family. He said that his mother, a native of Scotland, was in love with the heir to the British throne in her youth and always called him “handsome.”
