Jews seriously injured in London attack

According to information from the BBC, the Jewish volunteer security group Shomrim said that a man armed with a knife attacked Jews in the community’s main street area.

Residents told the British broadcaster that a resident of the neighborhood was stabbed in front of a store and another in front of a synagogue.

Shomrim reported that he responded immediately and arrested a suspect until police arrived, who used a stun gun to immobilize him and then arrested him.

Speaking in Parliament, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that the attack in Golders Green is “deeply worrying” and that the country needs to be “absolutely clear in its determination to deal with all these crimes, like the ones we have seen all too often lately”.

This is the second anti-Semitic attack recorded in Golders Green in just over a month. On March 23, four ambulances from a service linked to the Jewish community were set on fire in the neighborhood.

In the following weeks, 26 suspects involved in the attack were arrested. Four of them appeared in a British court on Friday (24) and the trial was scheduled to begin on January 27, 2027.
