London, two people from the Jewish community stabbed in Golders Green: a suspect arrested

Two people belonging to the Jewish community were stabbed in Golders Green, in north London. The alleged perpetrator, armed with a knife, attempted to stab other Jews in the area. The British media reported it.

Shomrim, the Jewish community security organization, said it intervened immediately and arrested a suspect. The man was subsequently immobilized with a taser by the police who intervened later. The victims were treated by Hatzola, the non-profit voluntary organization which provides first aid medical services and ambulance transport, operating mainly within Jewish communities, whose ambulance service was burned down last month also in London.

Starmer: Deeply worrying

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said the episode was “deeply worrying“.

Starmer told MPs that a police investigation was ongoing and that “we must all be absolutely clear in our determination to tackle any such crime”.

“A knife attack occurred in Golders Green today. The suspect has been arrested,” the Jewish Community Security Trust (CST) confirmed.

“Two victims were stabbed and were rescued by Hatzola,” said Shomrim North West London, a voluntary emergency service in Golders Green, adding that the man was “armed with a knife and attempted to stab people of the Jewish faith”.
