Knife attack in a Jewish neighborhood in London: two people stabbed and one arrested

Two people were stabbed this wednesday in Golders Green, north of London, authorities reported, in what was considered an attack on British Jews.

A man was seen running along Golders Green Road armed with a knife and attempting to stab Jewish passers-by, the Jewish volunteer patrol group Shomrim reported on social media. The suspect has already been arrested.

The Metropolitan Police said that the victims, a man in his 30s and another in his 70swere hospitalized in stable condition. The force said the suspect also tried to stab police officers, but none of them were injured.

Shomrim members immediately intervened and managed to restrain the suspect before the police arrived.
