OCU urges a dozen festivals in Spain to correct irregularities contrary to consumer regulations

The Organization of Consumers and Users (OCU) has carried out a review of the terms and conditions of contracting 10 great music festivals in Spainamong which is the Resurrectión Fest (Viveiro, Lugo), which has revealed “various irregularities that could be considered contrary to consumer regulations and therefore reportable to the authorities.”

Festivals for which it is estimated, together, the marketing of more than 1,800,000 tickets.

Among the most common irregularities observed by OCU, the following stand out: the power to unilaterally and without prior notice change the poster or the festival program, without the right to a refund; the obligation to pay within the festival with a ‘cashless’ bracelet, with the threat of expulsion if you try to use other means of payment; the possibility of charging an additional amount to the ticket price each time the user wishes to leave and re-enter the festival; the prohibition of entering with food and drinks, which, although contemplated in the regulations of several autonomies, OCU considers to be abusive.
