Technology leaders met in La Rural to exchange experiences and analyze success stories

“Argentina is consolidating an increasingly mature technological ecosystem, where collaboration between the public and private sectors is key to accelerating innovation. We see how organizations from different industries are adopting open source technologies to modernize their operations and thus prepare the ground to accelerate the adoption of AI,” said Jorge Payró, Country Manager, Argentina & Senior Director, SOLA Region.

Payró highlighted Clarion that the key to the success of the call is that in this meeting “clients get together to talk to clients and their experiences are told.” However, he highlighted that, in the field of AI, a recent MIT survey “indicates that still only 5% of pilots or proofs of concept that include this technology go on to real execution within companies. I think the main barrier continues to be not having a strategy designed to align ourselves with where we want to go. Do I want to incorporate AI because it is fashionable, because everyone uses it? Or do I know where to focus to gain productivity?”

Throughout the day, leading companies and public organizations shared their experiences in adopting this technology to optimize their processes with artificial intelligence. The financial sector is one of the most sensitive to innovations.

Diego says, Senior Manager de Platform Engineering at Banco Galicia, explained on stage how, after almost a decade with Red Hat OpenShift, They managed to merge HSBC Argentina in six months -in a single weekend and without interrupting the service-, absorbing 40% more transactional load and without incidents, even in demanding scenarios such as the lifting of the exchange rate. OpenShift is a unified container platform designed to develop, modernize and manage applications in hybrid clouds and/or own servers.

In the public sector, Sandra D’Agostino, Undersecretary of Digital Government of the Province of Buenos Aires, highlighted the advance of the sovereign cloud based on the same technology, with its own Data Center of more than 80 servers, 4,500 cores and 300 TB of storage, which drives critical systems such as GDEBA, more than 100,000 users and 8 million files, and lays the foundations for incorporating artificial intelligence in public management.

For his part, José Pastor Lata, national director of the Ministry of Health of the Nation, presented the advance of federal electronic prescription: from 16 million registrations at the end of 2025 to more than 55 million todayscaled on OpenShift with resilience to demand peaks and coverage in all jurisdictions.

Meanwhile, the National Talasa Center of Chile presented its strategy to democratize access to artificial intelligence at the country level through a public-private model based on OpenShift AI, aimed at reducing barriers and accelerating its adoption in different sectors.

The event included technical sessions on Dev Onboarding with artificial intelligence, virtualization and native connectivity for Kubernetes, a training panel where professionals shared the impact of OpenShift training, and closed with a hands-on Platform Engineering test drive in which attendees were able to experience the technology and obtain an initial certification.
