Violent act in Cologne: 93-year-old killed by burglars

Köln – The neighbors in the quiet residential area in Cologne are shocked. Nobody noticed anything, but right next door a 93-year-old man was killed in a suspected robbery. His adult children found him dead in his bungalow on Sunday, police and prosecutors said on Tuesday.

Apparently the body had been there for a long time. The investigators assume that the unknown perpetrators gained access to the house on Böhmweg in the Neubrück district between Friday and Sunday and attacked the 93-year-old. They are said to have then fled with their prey. According to the information, the body had significant injuries that indicated “massive violence,” it said.
