In the space of just a few hours, two separate knife attacks took place in Ljubljana’s Šiška district, in which two women were injured. Although the incidents were recorded at a very short distance, the police emphasize that there is no connection between them, the STA agency reports. The first attack happened around noon, when a 50-year-old man stabbed a 42-year-old woman after a night out. The injured woman was transported to the hospital, and the doctors confirmed that her injuries were not life-threatening, the Ljubljana police announced. The suspect was soon arrested and detained.
A few hours later, another incident occurred. In that case, a 52-year-old man attacked a 31-year-old woman with a knife, who was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The police say that the attackč and the victim are not related, but they live at the same address.
The police point out that both cases are being handled separately and are not mutually connected. Investigations are still ongoing, and the competent authorities continue to collect evidence and determine all the circumstances of these events.
