Green SM cooperates with 75 businesses, deploying nearly 18,500 VinFast vehicles

Green SM continues to expand its operations in the Philippine market through the signing ceremony of a memorandum of cooperation and deposit agreement with 75 transportation businesses and cooperatives in many cities. The company evaluates these as potential areas, people have high mobility needs and are interested in green transportation solutions.

According to the plan, the parties will deploy a fleet of vehicles through direct investment and long-term lease, including VinFast VF 5, Herio Green and Limo Green models optimized for technology passenger transport services. In its expansion roadmap, Green SM evaluates the Philippines as a key market. In the first phase, this business cooperated with Xentro Group to deploy 2,500 vehicles.

With this model, Green SM provides vehicles, technology platforms and service standards systems, while local partners take care of fleet operations and driver management. This way of operating helps ensure service quality, safety standards and user experience, and can adapt to each market’s conditions. The above model also optimizes replicability, facilitating the transition to pure electric vehicles.

Mr. Gio Colmenares, General Director of Asia Prime Force Corporation, Green SM’s partner in the Philippines, said that the cooperation agreement shows the shifting trend of the transportation industry. “Green SM’s platform provides a structured approach to electric vehicle deployment, combining operational clarity and long-term growth potential. This is an opportunity in the Philippines, and part of the transformation of urban transportation systems in Southeast Asia,” he said.

Meanwhile, Ms. Rachel Ann Villanueva, President of Green Will Corporation, commented that the expansion of pure electric mobility requires coordination of vehicles, infrastructure and operations, when components in the ecosystem can jointly promote and deploy on a large scale. “We see clear potential for this model to accelerate transformation in the Philippines and the region,” she said.

General Director of GSM Global Nguyen Van Thanh said that the trend of transportation electrification is taking place strongly in many large cities globally, and Southeast Asia is one of the dynamic regions in this process. “Large-scale deployment requires synchronized technology and operating models in many markets and meets the flexibility of local conditions. Through the platform and cooperation model, Green SM aims to promote sustainable, practical electrified mobility and maintain consistent service standards throughout the system,” he said.

After the signing ceremony, Green SM’s partners plan to complete orders and operate in stages this year.
