“Trump is doing everything wrong”, the shock poll rejects the president

A new poll rejects Donald Trump and the war against Iran. For the majority of American voters, 64%, the president of the United States was wrong in deciding to attack. This is the clear opinion that emerges from the poll published today by the New York Times/Siena which records a new negative record in the president’s popularity rate, with 59% disapproving of his actions and only 37% approving.

Trump’s disapproval rate rises even higher if we consider the economy, to 64%, and even higher, to 69%, the cost of living, which, moreover, is strongly linked to the consequences of the conflict with Iran, which caused the increase in petrol prices and a cascade of other products. Even the main element of Trump’s internal policy, the mass deportation campaign, sees a negative balance sheet for the tycoon, rejected by 56% of voters on immigration matters and promoted by only 41%. Numbers destined to increase the concern of Republicans in view of the midterm elections, in which the protest vote against the party of the unpopular president traditionally plays a role.

Especially since 44% of voters believe they are personally harmed by the administration’s misguided policies, almost 10 points more than last fall when 36% expressed this opinion. Furthermore, another important signal in view of the November vote, among independent voters, i.e. not registered as Democrats or Republicans, Trump’s disapproval rate rises to 69%, with 47% saying they are personally harmed by his policies.

On the other hand, the survey describes a situation that is certainly not rosy for the Democratic party: just 26% say they are satisfied with the line it is following, with 44% of Democratic voters saying they are not satisfied with the party, while only 23% of Republicans say the same thing about the GOP.
