La Jornada: The satisfaction rate with health and education services falls

The satisfaction of Mexico’s adult population with health services and compulsory public education has decreased in the recent two years, evidenced by data from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Inegi).

The National Survey of Government Quality and Impact showed that, last year, 49.7 percent of the population using health services said they were satisfied, a drop from 58.1 percent in 2023. The survey, which is carried out every two years, revealed that satisfaction with compulsory public education (primary, secondary and high school) went from 71 to 69 percent. According to the multidimensional poverty report released by Inegi in August, access to health services continues to show a significant deterioration compared to 2016.
