A stamp celebrates Giuliani, Italian excellence

An Italian story that began in 1889 in the Antica Farmacia del Lazzaretto in Milan enters national philately. Origins and development

Founded in Milan in 1889 by Dr. Germano Giuliani, pharmacist and chemist, the company has gone through over a century of Italian history, evolving from a pharmacy-laboratory to a reality structured pharmaceutical. During the twentieth century Giuliani consolidated its industrial profile, developing scientific, productive, regulatory and commercial skills, to the point of building a business model that integrates research, product development, valorisation of proprietary brands, medical-scientific information, control of the pharmacy channel and progressive internationalization.

Recent acquisitions

In recent years, the note explains, Giuliani has accelerated its growth path through an industrial design based on the aggregation of complementary skills. The entrance of Nathura in 2021 it strengthened its presence in nutraceuticals and the gastrointestinal area; the acquisition of Biogen in 2023 it strengthened the dermatological sector; the operation Bailleul Laboratories in 2025 it strengthened the company’s position in the therapeutic areas of greatest interest and above all brought with it a pan-European platform with its own branches in various countries, significantly expanding the Group’s international presence.
