STOCK EXCHANGE: Stock investors optimistic, US Index futures on strong rise, Milan Stock Exchange at record level

The future of the techno-heavy Nasdaq index was up 1.3 percent, and the future of the flagship companies’ Dow Jones index was up 0.9 percent.

In Europe, the broad Stoxx 600 index was up 1.0 percent at 3:50 p.m. Out of a total of 20 industry indices, only energy and telecommunications were down. Construction, the automotive industry and banks saw the strongest increase of around two percent.
