Viet Nam I4 Impact Awards is part of a series of activities implementing Resolution 57 of the Politburo on developing science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation. The activity is also associated with the National Digital Transformation Program to 2025, oriented to 2030 according to Decision 749 of the Prime Minister. The program is implemented to promote the development of science – technology, innovation and national digital transformation; recognize and honor organizations, businesses, scientists and individuals pioneering the application of new technology, creating practical value for the economy and society; contributing to closely connecting the model of linking the state – businesses – institutes, schools – scientists – investors – international community, thereby promoting cooperation, transfer and commercialization of technology.
This year, the program expands the “I4” concept with four pillars including Industry, Innovation, Intelligence and Impact. In particular, the “Impact” factor is included as a criterion for evaluating technology solutions based on the level of impact on the digital economy, digital government and digital society.
Deployed from March 5 to April 30, Vietnam I4 Impact Awards attracted nearly 300 applications from more than 200 participating organizations, businesses and localities. According to the organizing committee, this year’s participation applications span many fields from digital industry, digital infrastructure to community service technology, corporate governance, digital culture and sustainable development.
According to the representative of the expert council, the selection process focuses on applicability, scope of implementation, operational efficiency and ability to create impact in practice instead of just stopping at ideas or experimental models. Many participating profiles related to AI, data, automation, management platforms, technology for production and solutions to support digital transformation for small and medium enterprises. Some models target the fields of education, health, finance, agriculture and public services.
The organizing committee said that Vietnam I4 Impact Awards not only stops at awarding activities but also plays a role in connecting policy, technology and market. Through this activity, businesses, scientists and management agencies have more opportunities to exchange experiences and seek cooperation possibilities. The program is expected to continue to become a forum connecting technology application models with the needs of digital economic development, while promoting innovation activities in domestic businesses and organizations.
