Christian Eriksen shared an update on his health

“I want to say that I’m fine and I’m at home with my family,” says Eriksen in his update.

Eriksen collapsed on the pitch during the match between Denmark and Ukraine played on Sunday evening. He was able to walk himself to the ambulance after treatment.

Eriksen has been playing with a pacemaker since his heart stopped during the European Championship match between Denmark and Finland in the summer of 2021.

“As you can surely imagine, the electric shock given by my pacemaker has had a significant impact on me and my family. I want to assure you that this was a different situation than what happened in 2021,” Eriksen explains his situation.

In his post, Eriksen thanks the medical staff and players who helped him on the field.

“I am also extremely grateful to the doctors who have taken care of me and my heart over the years. Thanks to their expertise, the pacemaker did exactly what it was designed to do.”

Eriksen says that he is currently focusing on recovery and spending time with his family.
