Google sent letters to subscribers of its AI platform about reducing the monthly subscription fee for AI Plus from 7.99 to 4.99 dollars (in Israel – from 30 to 19 shekels per month, at an annual rate – from 300 to 190 shekels).
At the same time, the amount of storage included in the subscription has been doubled – from 200 to 400 GB, which may also be beneficial for those who purchased a Pro subscription but do not really need more than 400 GB.
At the same time, the letter reports that Google is switching to a new formula for calculating credit quotas in the Gemini application. This formula takes into account the complexity of requests, the features used, and the length of calls. The quota is reset every 5 hours until the weekly limit is reached. With an AI Plus subscription, your usage quota will be double that of users without a subscription.
The quota model is planned to be extended to other products – Flow and Antigravity. While the base subscription will no longer include 200 AI Credits per month, the new quota model will help maintain the same user experience.
