Hezbollah said its fighters shot down an Israeli Heron UAV in the Bekaa Valley.

The terrorist group Hezbollah issued an official statement claiming that on June 11, at around 16:00, the organization’s operatives shot down an IDF Heron 1 drone over the Nakhleh region in the Bekaa Valley. The statement said that the UAV was shot down using a “special missile.”

Hezbollah says the move was in response to Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement and incursions into Lebanese airspace.

Channel 14 reports that the IDF struck the site of the UAV’s crash to prevent its components, ammunition or data from falling into enemy hands.
