Iranian Foreign Ministry: “The ceasefire has lost its meaning”

Iran’s Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying the latest US strikes had rendered the April 8 ceasefire meaningless.

“Washington will be held accountable for an extremely dangerous escalation. States providing their territory or infrastructure for such attacks will be considered an attacking party,” the statement said.

Official Tehran also accused the United States of violating the UN Charter and international law regarding respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states.

Meanwhile, Iran’s armed forces spokesman Abolfaz Sherkhani said Iranian troops are on full alert and their strength exceeds that demonstrated during the 12-day war.
