Trump said he discussed his decision on Iran with Netanyahu

US President Donald Trump, during a conversation with reporters in the Oval Office, said that a possible agreement with Iran is in the final stages and could be signed in the coming days, CNN correspondent Kevin Liptak reports.

Trump noted that we are talking about a “great settlement” that could end the war with Iran. According to him, “the documents are almost ready.”

“We’ll see. It should be done pretty quickly,” Trump said.

The US President also said that he had recently spoken with a number of leaders, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and leaders of the Persian Gulf countries.

According to Trump, the signing ceremony of the agreement could take place soon, possibly in Europe. US Vice President J.D. Vance is expected to take part in it.

Earlier, Israeli media reported that Trump’s announcement of progress towards an agreement with Iran took the Israeli leadership by surprise. According to these reports, during the day Israel believed that the chances of a deal were, on the contrary, decreasing, and Washington’s diplomatic initiative was leading to a dead end.

Benjamin Netanyahu has not yet commented on Trump’s words.
