In Florence ‘Italia di Moda’, photos and clothes blend with landscapes and culture

After the stops in Milan and Rome, ‘Italia di Moda’ arrives in Florence with a new exhibition from 11 to 28 June in the spaces of the Limonaia of Villa Vittoria. Signed by the photographer Andrea Varani, and interpreted exclusively by the top model of Russian and Ukrainian origins Ludmilla Voronkina Bozzetti, the project is the result of a journey that lasted over a year through Italy: a story in images that crosses landscapes, cities and villages, transforming fashion into a narrative language and a tool for dialogue with the territory, landscapes, art and culture.

The 48 photographs on display construct a powerful and contemporary visual narrative, in which the clothes – designed by some of the most iconic Italian fashion houses including Giorgio Armani, Dolce&Gabbana, Roberto Cavalli and Etro – are not simple aesthetic elements but an integral part of the landscape. Fashion merges with the identity of places, creating an unprecedented visual balance between body, space and culture.

The absolute protagonist of the entire project – created with the patronage of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion and Pitti Immagine – is Ludmilla Voronkina Bozzetti, the sole interpreter of all the shots. Her presence becomes the leitmotif of a story that is both aesthetic and personal: an intimate journey through a country that, over the years, has become home, inspiration and creative horizon for her. Andrea Varani’s gaze, recognized for its essential and elegant style, returns images of strong impact but never constructed, where authenticity and harmony prevail over the staging. The result is a project that goes beyond the boundaries of traditional fashion photography to become a cultural story and an artistic vision. From the Dolomites to Southern Italy, passing through symbolic cities and lesser-known places, ‘Italia di Moda’ presents a new emotional geography of the country, in which manufacturing excellence, landscape and identity interact in a natural and contemporary way.

“Florence has a special meaning for me because it is precisely here that Italia di Moda was born – says Ludmilla Voronkina Bozzetti – The first shots were taken in this city and it is here that our team was formed, starting a creative path that has consolidated over time. Returning to Florence with this exhibition is not just a stopover, but a return to the origins. Here the dialogue between fashion, beauty and culture is natural and authentic and it is exactly from this sensitivity that the project came to life. For me it is also a deeply personal place: a starting point that today becomes a symbol of the entire journey”.

“During this project I tried to intervene as little as possible – explained Andrea Varani – Not to build the scene too much, but to understand what really worked in that moment. The light, the relationship between Ludmilla and the space, the way in which the dress moved within that context. Each shot was born like this, from a balance that you found there, on the spot, rather than from something decided beforehand”.
