Telekom Srbija expects to soon end roaming with the EU

Director General of Telekom Srbija Vladimir Lučić stated that the plan is for Serbia to join the European mobile communications regime by the end of this year or during the first quarter of 2027, which would enable citizens to use mobile services in European Union countries without additional roaming fees, writes Telegraf.

Speaking for K1 television about negotiations with the EU related to the inclusion of the countries of the Western Balkans in the “Roaming like at home” system, Lučić said that the necessary legal framework should be adopted by September this year.

“The abolition of roaming is a big news for users because, wherever they are in Europe, they will be able to use the Internet and other mobile services under the same conditions as at home,” said Lučić.
