Beatrice Venezi contests the termination of La Fenice’s contract: "Discriminatory decision”

The conductor of the orchestra Beatrice Venezi he sent, through his lawyers, one letter to La Fenice with which he contests the decision announced by the superintendent Nicola Colabianchi with which he declared himself any professional collaboration resolved between the Venetian theater and the Maestra. The decision, the letter specifies, would be “null, illegitimate, ineffective and discriminatory”.

Venezi’s lawyers claim that the conductor became aware of the desire to interrupt all professional collaboration through the press on April 26 when the superintendent Nicola Colabianchi announced it in light of “alleged and apodictic ‘statements’in any way specified, made by maestro Beatrice Venezi to an unspecified and unspecified ‘international press’ and which due to these alleged and unspecified declarations would have been damaged the image of the Foundation“. The decision, according to Venezi’s lawyers, would therefore be completely null and void.

The position of the Teacher and the confirmation of the Foundation

The Teacher also specifies that for her part “in compliance with the contractual commitment undertaken, she intends continue to make their energies available to the Foundation itself and professional artistic performances and carry out all the professional, organizational and productive activities preliminary and essential to the working relationship signed between the parties, despite the numerous impeding activities carried out to date by the top management in order to limit and prevent the execution of the same work performances”.

The receipt of the letter by the La Fenice Theater Foundation was confirmed to AGI by qualified sources.

Just today a press conference is scheduled in which the superintendent and artistic director Nicola Colabianchi will present the new 2026/2027 season of the Venetian Theatre.
