Pakistan attaches great importance to constructive cooperation between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Shehbaz Sharif to the Prime Minister

Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the occasion of the victory of the “Civil Pact” party in the parliamentary elections.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan specifically mentioned in his address. “I look forward to working with Your Excellency to strengthen Pakistan-Armenia relations, and I want to emphasize that Pakistan attaches great importance to peace and constructive cooperation between Azerbaijan and Armenia.”

Pakistan expressed hope that Nikol Pashinyan’s new tenure “will contribute to the advancement of peace, stability, and economic development in the South Caucasus.”

Last year on August 29, 34 years after independence, only Pakistan was willing to recognize Republic of Armenia and establish diplomatic relations with Yerevan. On August 31, the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Pakistan Ararat Mirzoyan and Mohammad Ishaq Dar signed a joint communiqué in China on establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries. By signing the communiqué, Armenia and Pakistan establish diplomatic relations.
