Reuters: Hezbollah has not conducted any operations since the US-Iran deal was announced

A Hezbollah spokesman told Reuters that the organization had not carried out any military operations since the Iran-US deal was announced.

The source, who wished to remain anonymous, stressed that Hezbollah’s position on the ceasefire directly depends on Israel’s compliance with the agreements. According to him, the organization rejects any attempts to provide Israel with “freedom of action” in Lebanon.

The Reuters source also claimed that Iran had delayed signing an agreement with the United States to ensure that Israel respected the ceasefire in Lebanon.

Hezbollah has not yet officially commented on the agreement between Washington and Tehran.

Note that Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz previously stated that he and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are pursuing a policy according to which the IDF will maintain a presence in security zones in Lebanon, Syria and the Gaza Strip without a time limit.

According to Katz, from these areas the army will protect the Israeli border and populated areas from jihadist groups. The minister added that these territories will be liberated from the local population, and all terrorist infrastructure – both underground and above ground – will be destroyed. According to him, we are also talking about houses in border villages that were used as strongholds of terrorist organizations. “This is the main lesson of the events of October 7,” explained Katz.
