Bitter bankruptcy of the operator of two well-known Italian restaurants

Die Uno Momento GmbH (FN 486632k ) based in Vienna-Leopoldstadt has according to Credit reform am Vienna Commercial Court the opening of one Reorganization process without self-administration requested. The company operates two restaurants with Italian cuisine at Allietenstraße 19 in the second district and at Steinbauergasse 16 in Vienna-Meidling. 28 employees – 16 full-time and 12 part-time employees – are affected by the bankruptcy.

Nenad Mirkovič has been the managing director of Uno Momento GmbH since January 2019. The sole shareholder is Radovan Dumic with a capital contribution of 35,000 euros.

Expansion became a burden

In its restructuring application, the company cites the takeover of a second location in 2022 as the main cause of the economic difficulties. The new operation on Allied Street was initially not profitable. The situation was made worse by the generally poor economic development of the past two years. Fluctuating sales coupled with rising costs had put the company under pressure.

Despite cost-cutting measures, the losses incurred were not offset quickly enough, the application states. However, it has now been possible to run the Meidling location in particular profitably again. However, it was not possible to repay the legacy issues in the short term.

The debts

According to the application, the liabilities amount to around 400,000 euros. The company offers creditors a quota of 20 percent, payable within two years of acceptance of the restructuring plan. Financing will come from ongoing business operations.

Monthly surpluses as a basis

According to its own information, Uno Momento GmbH expects average monthly net sales of around 140,000 euros in the period from June to September 2026. The monthly personnel costs including additional costs amount to around 58,000 euros, the other fixed and variable costs – including purchasing of goods, rent, electricity and insurance – amount to around 65,000 euros.

The company assumes that it will be able to generate ongoing surpluses through savings that have already been implemented and the existing order situation. These should be sufficient to finance the restructuring plan. However, the company admits that both sales and staff levels can fluctuate greatly depending on workload.

The company’s assets include parts of the business equipment at both locations, two vehicles and rental rights to the premises. In addition, there are the cash balance and bank balances.
