The FBI announced: a huge attack on the White House was foiled

According to the FBI’s announcement, last week information was received about a potential threat against the event, which included the involvement of people operating outside the US capital region. Following the information, FBI agents, along with other law enforcement officials and the US Department of Justice, launched a multi-state operation during which several suspects were arrested, and the planned attack was foiled.

Officials familiar with the investigation told Fox News that five people have been arrested, while investigators have identified 23 people as part of a possible network of those planning the attack.

It is suspected that the plan was intended to include the use of drones loaded with explosives intended to damage the buildings near the incident. According to the investigators, the goal was to cause a mass evacuation of the area and direct the crowd towards a team of snipers prepared in advance elsewhere.

The researchers also claim that afterwards a “second wave” of the attack was planned, in which the attackers were supposed to storm the White House gate.

The investigation began after the FBI received information about the threat on June 10. As part of the investigation, the authorities obtained legal grounds for the arrest of one of the suspects in the city of Cincinnati, where he was arrested.

Later, the investigators located conversations in the Signal application in which the details of the attack were allegedly discussed. In a preliminary examination of an iPhone belonging to one of the suspects, at least 23 Signal users were identified who were allegedly talking about preparatory actions for the implementation of the plan. According to authorities, some of those involved planned to arrive in Fredericksburg, Virginia on June 12 or 13 to prepare for the attack.

One of the suspects allegedly told investigators that the purpose of the attack was to target “capitalist elites”, “billionaires” or politicians who received donations from the American-Israeli public affairs lobby AIPAC.

According to the published data, about 4,300 people participated in the event, including about 1,200 soldiers on active duty, while 14 fighters from different countries competed in the arena set up on the spot.
