Spotify launches Reserved, the new service for the most loyal fans to ensure the purchase of two tickets

The streaming platform Spotify has launched Reserved, its new service that ensures that The most dedicated fans can purchase two tickets to their artist’s concert o favorite music band.

Reserved is a new feature for Premium subscribers (over 18 years old) which is now available, although for now only in the United States, as Spotify details on its website.

The music platform has Partnered with Live Nation and powered by Ticketmaster. Starting this week, Spotify Premium users will be able to access the artists’ tours, a list that will be expanded over the following weeks.

Spotify explains from its website that “the most dedicated fans will have the opportunity to automatically reserve two tickets before they go on general sale.”

For Spotify to mark a user as a dedicated fan, the platform will take into account your real activity in the ‘app’ which includes factors such as songs listened to, saved, shared and the user’s location.

The objective is that fans can access the advance purchase of tickets and thus avoid the current experience of accessing a ticket, which is usually characterized by dynamic pricing systems and illegal resale.

In fact, Spotify does not share all the details of the Reserved system to avoid acting strategically instead of genuinely on the part of the fan who wants to attend the concert of their favorite artist.

The streaming platform does explain that the user chosen for Reserved will see the possibility of purchase tickets through various meanssuch as the Spotify home screen, receiving an email, a notification on your mobile and from ‘Your notices’.

The other ways to access it are through search, the artist page, the live events feed, and the Now Playing view.

The purchasing process is simple to select two tickets for eligible dates on the artist’s tour. Here, Spotify recommends connecting to Ticketmaster beforehandsince the last purchase steps will be carried out through said platform. Another final detail is that, for high-demand tours, you will most likely enter a virtual queue before proceeding to the ticket selection page.
