Israel and Lebanon’s pro-Iranian militant group Hezbollah agreed to a cease-fire that began Friday at 4 p.m. local time (3 p.m. Croatian time), a senior U.S. official told Reuters.
– Hezbollah and Israel have agreed on a ceasefire – said an official familiar with the events, adding that the agreement was reached by US and Qatar negotiators with the help of Iran.
– We believe that after today’s exchange of fire, Israel and Hezbollah are now in a ceasefire – said the official.
