Campiello Prize, the five finalists of the 64th edition in Rome

The meetings with the finalists of the 64th edition of the Campiello Prize began in the capital. This evening, at The Dome of the Luiss Campus in Viale Romania, the five competing authors presented themselves for the first time together with the public, in an evening born from the collaboration between the Il Campiello Foundation – Confindustria Veneto and the Luiss University and which saw the presence of the Minister of Tourism, Gianmarco Mazzi.

The evening, hosted by Giancarlo Leone, opened with institutional greetings: speakers included Rita Carisano, general director of Luiss, Giuseppe Biazzo, president of Unindustria, Raffaele Boscaini, president of the Il Campiello Foundation and Confindustria Veneto, Mariacristina Gribaudi, president of the Management Committee of the Campiello Prize, and Roberto Cicutto, president of the Jury of Letters.

Competing for the “wellhead” are Ermanno Cavazzoni with “Storia di un’ amici” (Quodlibet), Marcello Fois with “L’immense distraction” (Giulio Einaudi Editore), Valeria Parrella with “LaRagazzina” (Feltrinelli), Alcide Pierantozzi with “Lo sbilico” (Giulio Einaudi Editore) and Elena Varvello with “La vita semper” (Ugo Guanda Editore). The Roman event opened the summer tour that will accompany the finalists until the winner is announced on Saturday 3 October at the Lido of Venice.
