IDF to purchase 2,000 vehicles for senior officers

The IDF Procurement Directorate is preparing for a new round of procurement of official leased vehicles as part of a general framework tender launched last year, which was won by leasing companies Aldan and Peri.

The current round of procurement is intended for officers with the ranks of lieutenant colonel and colonel, as well as senior warrant officers and IDF civilian employees.

As part of the round, it is planned to purchase about 2,000 family sedans and crossovers with a market value ranging from 160 to 200 thousand shekels.

According to the terms of the tender, Chinese cars are not allowed to participate. In addition, the emphasis will be on economical and environmentally friendly models, mainly with a hybrid engine.
