A Swedish group buys an Argentine cash transport company

As reported by the purchasing company in a statement, the local firm has a value of $27.5 billion —about US$ 19 million)— on a cash and debt free basis. The transaction with Grupo Coinag and other minority shareholders is expected to close during the third quarter of 2026.

Founded in 2018, Transportadora del Interior provides transportation services transport of flows and cash management to financial institutions and retailers. The company is based in Rosario, Santa Fe, operates three branches, employs approximately 200 people and has a fleet of vehicles. In 2025, it posted revenue of around $14.6 billion—approximately $10 million.

The acquisition will add three new branches to the operations of Loomis, which already has subsidiaries in Missions and Currents. The Swedish group has operated in Argentina since 2012, when it bought the transport of flows Validityat that time with 190 employees. It was the first operation that the company made outside of Europe and the United States to begin its expansion in Latin America.

“With the acquisition of Transportadora del Interior, we expand our presence in Latin America towards two of the economically strongest areas of Argentina (Rosario and Córdoba),” said Aritz Larrea, president and CEO of Loomis, in the statement. Growth in the region, where they compete with Brinks and Prosegur, among others, it is a strategic priority set in 2024.

The business will be integrated into Loomis Argentina and reported within the Europe and Latin America segment once the operation is completed. The acquisition is expected to have a positive impact on the operating profit of the Group, whose market capitalization is around US$3.2 billion.
