Ministry of Economy recalls Chinese chargers due to risk of electric shock and fire

Harel (K.Sh) Yevu ve-Shivuk BAAM has announced a recall of Chinese-made Hi-Tech K88 wall chargers due to a fire hazard.

The barcode of the recalled product is 0704335780759, year of manufacture: 2022, on sale until 02/09/2026.

During the inspection carried out on behalf of the Commissioner for Standardization, the following violations were identified:

Electrical insulation fault – creates the possibility of high voltage passing directly to the device being charged, which may result in electric shock if the device or cable is touched while charging.

Non-flammable housing – In the event of an electrical fault or overheating, the charger may ignite, emitting burning dripping plastic and causing a fire.
