The price of electricity will remain exceptionally low even on Sunday

The average hourly price of exchange electricity for consumers (incl. VAT 25.5 percent) is very affordable on Sunday. The price is exactly zero cents per kilowatt hour for several hours at night and in the morning. The highest hourly price of the day is 1.0 cents/kWh, which is seen in the evening at 8 p.m.

The hourly prices stated in the article are averages calculated from the four quarter-hour prices for each hour. The electricity exchange Nord Pool switched to 15-minute pricing from the beginning of October 2025.

Such low prices of less than five cents are common and occur about half the time. However, Sunday’s price level is clearly below the typical hourly price of around four cents.

Also on Saturday, the price of electricity was very low, staying below one cent per kilowatt-hour almost all day.
