Israeli police refuse to buy Chinese electric vehicles

The Israeli police have decided to abandon plans to purchase Chinese BYD electric vehicles “for information security reasons,” Calcalist reports.

At the same time, several dozen cars of this brand, purchased by the police last year, will apparently remain in the fleet.

The circle of Israeli structures refusing Chinese electric vehicles continues to expand. Just last week, the defense concern Elbit Maarahot announced their withdrawal from its fleet.

Previously, the IDF, the Ministry of Defense, and the Aviation Industry Concern abandoned the products of the Chinese automobile industry.

According to Kalkalist, the issue of abandoning Chinese cars is being studied by the management of the Israeli Electric Company (Hevrat Hashmal) and the Israeli Water Company (Mekorot).
