Marketa Vondrousova received a long doping ban

Tennis star Markéta Vondroušová has been banned for four years for refusing a doping test.

Czech player Vondroušová was suspended by the International Tennis Integrity Agency.

Vondroušová refused to give a doping sample to testers who came to her home last December. He explained his actions with stress, mental health problems and safety concerns.

However, according to Itia’s decision, Vondroušová did not have an acceptable reason to refuse the test.

Vondroušová26, won the singles title at Wimbledon in 2023. At her best, she was ranked sixth in the women’s tennis world.

In her career, Vondroušová has won almost 12 million dollars in prize money, i.e. 10.5 million euros.

At the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, Vondrousova lost the singles final to Switzerland Belinda Bencicille.

This year, Vondrousova has suffered from injuries and has not played since January.
