Jacob Haguel, the chairman of the World Zionist Organization, said after the event: The anti-Semitic terrorist attack in Montreal, Canada is an urgent wake-up call to the world. We will not accept a reality in which Jews in Montreal are forced to lock themselves in their homes for fear of anti-Semitic terrorism. This is unimaginable and unacceptable. This is a fatal injury to the values of freedom and security of the entire West,” he emphasized.

“I call on the government of Canada, and the leaders of the world: don’t be satisfied with condemnations and statements. It’s time to act hard against anti-Semitic terrorism, restore security to the streets and castrate the incitement that leads to such bloodshed. We will not be deterred and we will not give up. The Jewish people are strong and united, and together we will stand against this hatred and win,” said Haguel.
