The Iranian negotiating team travels to Oman to address the management of the Strait of Hormuz after the preliminary agreement with the US

The main Iranian negotiator and president of the country’s Parliament, Mohamad Baqer Qalibaf, and the Foreign Minister, Abbas Araqchi, headed this Monday to Muscat, capital of Oman, to discuss with its authorities issues related to the Strait of Hormuz, after the signing of the pre-agreement with the United States last week.

This was announced by the head of the diplomatic portfolio, in a brief statement released through his social networks in which he indicated that Qalibaf will meet with the Sultan of Oman, Haizam bin Tarik, with whom he will discuss ways to strengthen “bilateral cooperation” as well as “joint efforts” to consolidate their agreements in relation to the “management of the Strait of Hormuz.”

The head of Iranian diplomacy, for his part, is scheduled to meet with his Omani counterpart, Badr al Busaidi, of which no details have been revealed.

Meanwhile, the president of Iran, Masud Pezeshkian, will make a state visit to Pakistan this Tuesday, at the invitation of the prime minister of this country, Shehbaz Sharif, to address precisely the preliminary agreement reached last week with the United States to end the hostilities in the region unleashed with the offensive by Israel and the North American country against Iran at the end of February.
