Iran’s Foreign Ministry called US airstrikes a “direct violation” of the memorandum

Iran’s Foreign Ministry called US airstrikes on coastal surveillance sites in the south of the country a “direct violation” of the memorandum of understanding. Tehran also blamed Israel for the attack on Lebanon, allegedly carried out “in coordination with the United States,” calling it another violation of the agreement.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry called on the Gulf countries to maintain good neighborly relations and warned that any US assistance or provision of territory for aggression against Iran would entail “undesirable consequences.” The Foreign Ministry emphasized that Iran has a legitimate right to self-defense and will continue to attack American targets on this basis.
