The walking track is located on a cliff more than 2,000 meters high in China

Theo CNN, Hoa Son Mountain has long been a place that challenges all adventurous tourists. To reach the height of about 2,160 m of the South peak, climbers must overcome bumpy steps and a ladder system along the steep cliff. Among them, the “air plank” road is the most dangerous place, when visitors have to walk on wooden planks bolted directly to the cliff, below is an abyss.

Here, it is mandatory for all visitors to use safety belts and key chains attached to fixed chains along the cliffs. This route is the only path for both up and down, making moving and avoiding each other extremely difficult, creating great pressure for climbers.

In 2018 and 2019, two fatal accidents on this road attracted a lot of attention. In 2019, a female student surnamed Deng died because she subjectively removed her seat belt to take a selfie. Before that, a male tourist also arbitrarily removed his seat belt and fell down.

Theo CNNalthough Hoa Son is a famous destination, this is not a place for the inexperienced. Experts recommend that visitors need specialized climbing shoes, good physical strength and adequate food and water before starting the journey.

Mount Huashan is located in Shaanxi province, one of the five mountains in the Five Mountains of China including: Taishan, Hengshan, Tungshan, Hengshan and Huashan. The name Hoa Son comes from the structure of 5 mountain peaks shaped like a lotus flower when viewed from afar, of which the South peak is the highest (2,160 m above sea level).
