Mexico-England: tickets at crazy prices, starting from 3 thousand euros

English fans on the hunt for one ticket for the round of 16 against Mexico at the Azteca Stadium they will have to shell out at least 3 thousand euros: this is the lowest price for the few coupons available on the official Fifa resale market. The match scheduled in Mexico City at two in the morning on Monday sees the stadium from 80,800 seats practically sold out due to the massive presence of the home fans.

Tickets increased by 12 times and even reach 5 thousand euros

In January the England Supporters’ Travel Club had been given 4,000 tickets, immediately resold, and then nothing more. Therefore, Three Lions fans who want to find a seat will have to compete for a few hundred tickets at exorbitant prices. The BBC reported that al morning there were 429 leftalmost all in the two curves.
In practice, the cheapest tickets, those in the ‘Supporter Value’ category, originally cost 261 euros and are ended up on resale for 2664 euros which with Fifa rights reach 3 thousand, almost 12 times the original price.

For the most expensive tickets you can get to spend more than 5 thousand euros: they are in fact those of the Front Category 1, offered for resale at 5244 euros from the original 865.
It’s no better on other resale sites: on SeatGeek you can’t find anything under 3400 euros.
