SHB deployed warnings to receiving accounts showing signs of fraud or fraud

SHB deployed the feature to warn receiving accounts showing signs of suspected fraud or fraud on electronic transaction channels from July 1, helping customers proactively identify risks.

Accordingly, when customers enter account information to receive money to transfer, the system will automatically check and compare with the warning list provided by the Ministry of Public Security, state agencies and related organizations. If the receiving account shows signs of suspected fraud or fraud, the application will display a warning right on the transaction screen.

According to SHB, the warning system is added as a layer of protection before transactions, helping individual and business customers to early identify risks, especially when transferring money to unfamiliar accounts, accounts with new transactions or cases that require additional information verification. After receiving the warning, the customer is still the one who decides to continue or stop the transaction.

For accounts with warnings, the bank recommends that customers carefully check recipient information, verify identity through official channels, do not follow instructions from unclear sources, and absolutely do not provide passwords, OTP codes or account information to others. When detecting unusual signs, customers should contact the switchboard, SHB transaction points or authorities for support.

The feature is currently deployed on digital banking platforms including SAHA, SHB Corporate Mobile and Internet Banking. In the coming time, the bank will continue to expand warnings across all transaction channels.

SHB representative said transaction safety is one of the bank’s priorities in the process of developing digital banking. “Through the feature of warning accounts receiving money showing signs of suspected fraud or fraud, we want customers to have more information to proactively protect their assets against increasingly complex risks in the digital environment,” a bank representative said.

In mid-June, the Ministry of Public Security awarded a Certificate of Merit to SHB for its achievements in the movement of All People Protecting National Security in 2025, and also awarded the National Security Protection Medal to Ms. Ngo Thu Ha, General Director of SHB. The bank is also recognized by the Hanoi People’s Committee as a unit meeting the “Safety, security and order” standard in 2025.

In the new development phase, SHB continues to pursue the “5 FIRST” comprehensive financial ecosystem and digital transformation strategy, while promoting the application of technology, data and security solutions to improve customer experience, speed and transaction safety. The bank also continuously updates security features on SAHA, SHB Corporate Mobile, Internet Banking and transaction channels to meet increasing requirements for financial fraud prevention.

“On the journey to becoming a new-generation national bank, SHB continues to accompany customers with modern, humane and reliable financial solutions, contributing to promoting safe digital payments, protecting customers’ legitimate rights and spreading a culture of responsible financial transactions in the community,” a bank representative shared.
