The Zadar police reported a 27-year-old man after they stopped a Zagreb-marked car during traffic control on the A1 highway near Nadine on Sunday around 11:30 and found a little more than 1.5 kilograms of various types of drugs in it.

As reported by the Zadar Police Department, traffic policemen stopped a car with Zagreb license plates driven by a Croatian citizen, while a 27-year-old Croatian citizen was in the passenger seat.

As an intense smell of marijuana was detected from the vehicle during the police action, the vehicle was examined by a police drug detection dog, which on that occasion reacted positively to the presence of drugs inside the car.

The men were arrested while the vehicle was moved to the police area, where, on the basis of the order of the investigating judge of the County Court in Zadar, a search was carried out, which found 664 grams of cocaine, 458 grams of amphetamine, 346 grams of hashish and 94 grams of marijuana, hidden in the space between the cargo area and the train’s cabin.

Also, during the search, the police officers found a large amount of money in the vehicle, which is suspected to have originated from the commission of a criminal offense, and a digital scale for precise drug measurement.

Drugs, money and a scale were taken from the passenger, and after a criminal investigation, the 27-year-old passenger was suspected. handed over to the detention unit of the Zadar Police Administration, while the criminal complaint was submitted to the competent state attorney’s office in Zadar.

Zadar police adds that the man who was driving the vehicle was released after a criminal investigation.
